My name is Catherine, and I hold a BSc in Biology and a Graduate Diploma in Publishing. I have 12 years of experience editing scientific documents for a research institute. I am also a fiction writer, and I am familiar with the particular needs of fiction editing, with a strength in the genres of fantasy, science fiction, and romance. My particular editing specialty is copyediting. I am also keenly interested in typesetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my opinion, while professional styles and traditions are important in editing, the author\u2019s voice is most important of all. I balance my editing so that the edited manuscript is tidy, accurate, and presentable, but also the author\u2019s voice hasn\u2019t been stifled and is able to shine through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
